8. Validation and Audit

The platform provides validation steps and downloadable logs to help users review the anonymization and upload process.

  • During anonymization, the browser shows progress and records processed files, skipped files, selected profile, clinical data processing, and output details.
  • During scan, the tool checks the anonymized output folder, detects studies and series, verifies key anonymization requirements, identifies clinical metadata, and checks for archive conflicts.
  • During upload, the tool records selected items, conflict handling, upload status, and clinical metadata attachment results.

The clinical file must include Patient_ID and Study_ID. Clinical metadata is matched to DICOM data using Patient_ID + Study_ID.

Users can download the anonymization log and upload log for local review, internal records, or audit evidence.

Local mapping or traceability files remain under the control of the participating institute and must not be uploaded to the ZODIAC platform.
